STAFFORDSHIRE EUROPEAN VIEWS TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC VEGETABLE DISHES, LOT OF TWO, comprising an open square-form example featuring "BATALHA PORTUGAL", as printed to underside, depicting a monastery in background with several figures and a dog in foreground, having floral border decoration, and a covered square-form example featuring "ENVIRONS DE CHAMBERY", as printed to underside, depicting figures enjoying a pooled area of river with town on bluff above and grapevine and floral border design. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England; and other. First half 19th century. Covered example 5 1/2" HOA, 9 3/4" x 9 1/2" rim.
