STAFFORDSHIRE NAUTICAL MOTIF TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring an active nighttime sea battle depicting the "Blanche" and "La Pique" with plumes of cannon smoke under moonlight, having bold shell border decorations, from the so-called Shipping series. Unmarked. Possibly John Rogers & Son, Longport, England. First half 19th century. 19 1/2" x 14 3/4".
