STAFFORDSHIRE SPANISH / AFRICAN MOTIF TRANSFER-PRINTED PLATTERS, LOT OF TWO, comprising one featuring "CAPE COAST CASTLE / ON THE GOLD COAST AFRICA", as printed to lower front, depicting several vessels including one flying the American flag, and a tree-and-well example depicting "THE BRIDGE / OF / MARTOREILE", featuring a bridge spanning the Llobregat river in Catalonia. Marks to underside include impressed eagle and shield mark encircled with "E WOOD & SONS BURSLEM WARRANTED / SEMI CHINA". Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem; Henshall & Co., Longport, England. Circa 1825. 16 3/8" x 12 3/4" and 18 1/4" x 14 1/4".
