STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED PLATES, LOT OF 15, each having red/pink transfers, including patterns India (Temple Warriors) #01, #02, and #08, "RUINS" #04, "BOSPHOURUS", "Andulusia." #06, "CANOVA", "Sicilian", "Antiquarian.", "GRECIAN / GARDENS" #01 and one soup plate featuring "GRECIAN / GARDENS" #03. Marks to underside include printed pattern names, impressed "ADAMS", "8", and "2". Job & John Jackson, Burslem; William Adams IV & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent; Davenport, Longport; Thomas & John Mayer, Longport, England. Mid 19th century. 4 7/8" to 10 1/2" D.

Condition

Excellent, mostly undamaged condition except two "Grecian Gardens" plates with some discoloration, "Antiquarian" example with moderate crazing to underside, and soup plate having very faint hairline to underside that does not appear to go through to front.
