STAFFORDSHIRE "WATER GIRL" TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC JUGS / PITCHERS, LOT OF THREE, each having dark blue transfer featuring a young woman standing at a well filling a jug and dog at side, comprising a creamer and two jugs. Marks to underside include printed crown and garter with "WATER GIRL / CLEWS / MANUFACTURER" and impressed "A / WS", "D" and "K". Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge, England. 8 1/4" HOA.

Condition

Each jug having some restoration including smaller example with some touch-up to handle and larger example having spout reattached; creamer having hairline crack to spout and where handle and rim meet, and some scattered glaze wear to spout, top of handle, and foot. Manufacturing flaws including firing separations, as made.
