STAMPED "J.CM", JEREMIAH C. MARTIN, YANCEY, CO., NORTH CAROLINA STONEWARE JAR, alkaline-glazed, "3" gallon capacity mark, graceful ovoid form with flat-top rim, and applied curved tab handles. Jeremiah C. Martin, (ca. 1800-?), Yancey Co., NC. 19th century. 12 3/4" H, 7 3/8" D rim.

Excellent condition, except having two adjacent minor chips to rim and each handle with flake.
