STAMPED "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO.", FORT EDWARD, NEW YORK DECORATED STONEWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each having Albany-slip glazed interior, comprising a jar with cover, "6" quart capacity mark to body and cover, cylindrical form with flat-top rounded rim and medium shoulder and a jug, approximately one-gallon capacity, beehive form with applied strap handle. Each having slip-trailed cobalt stylized foliate design to front, some additional cobalt across stamps. New York Stoneware Co., Fort Edward, NY. 1859-1885. Jar 10 3/8" H, 6" D rim, jug 11 1/4" HOA.
Jar mostly undamaged except having a flake to rim interior and cover with a chip to top edge and a flake to finial; jug mouth with minor shallow chip to top and a chip to bottom.
