STRASBURG, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA POLYCHROME EARTHENWARE / REDWARE CREAM PITCHER, bright copper, manganese, and lead glazes over a slip wash, ovoid form with flared mouth, applied rounded strap handle, and pronounced square foot. Attributed to J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA. Fourth quarter 19th century. 6 1/4" H, 3 1/4" D rim, 3" D foot.

Having a chip to foot, some glaze loss to rim, and glaze flake to handle, possibly as made. Manufacturing flaws including firing separation to foot, as made.
