"THE GOLDEN AGE OF CHIVALRY" AMERICAN FOLK ART DRAGON WAGON / TRAIN CARVING, elaborately carved wood, with polychrome painted surfaces, includes figures such as Asian men and women, knights in armor, horses, donkeys, and two wagons/cars with dragons, the largest of the two reading "THE GOLDEN AGE OF CHIVALRY" on the side, the smaller cart dated 1961 on the bottom. The bottom of the largest cart retains a label reading "Henry J. Prior / 63 Longwood Avenue / Holyoke, Massachusetts". Circa 1961. Largest wagon 13" HOA, 17 1/2" LOA, 8 3/4" WOA.
Good condition overall, many pieces with losses and breaks, most notably to the wing of the two-headed dragon on the largest wagon which is present, but detached. Several horses and donkeys lacking their legs.
