TIDEWATER VIRGINIA CHIPPENDALE WALNUT CHEST OF DRAWERS, in the British tradition, the rectangular top with applied edge molding over four full graduated drawers, each cockbeaded, flanked by solid ends, paneled back, the whole raised on an applied cut-out bracket-foot base. Yellow pine secondary wood. Retains an old surface with warm color. Circa 1790. 40 1/2" H, 36 3/4" W, 18 1/2" D.

Condition
Very good overall condition bottom two drawers with irregularly sized drawer facings, and with areas of expected minor wear. Brasses probably replaced. Minor repairs to case and drawers.
