TURTLE / IGLOO INK BOTTLES, LOT OF TWO, aqua, round dome-top form with one having 12-panelled rear and plain front, the other with 12 scallops or petals molded at shoulder/above the unpanelled base and embossed with pictorial bird on a branch, both with roughly factory ground straight mouths. American. Fourth quarter 19th century. 1 5/8" HOA, 2 1/4" D bases.

Excellent condition, blank panelled example undamaged with minor interior residue, bird example having two nicks around base edge one of which has a 1/2" W bruise extending to underside, visible only underneath. Both with roughness, folds, and flaking at upper edges of lips or along neck mold seams, all as made.
