VICTORIAN CASED GLASS KEROSENE HANGING / LIBRARY LAMP, ruby cased to opaque white umbrella shade, brass "BEACON" hanging lamp font fitted into a pegged brass lamp cup, stamped brass scrolling support arms with applied foliate decoration and a lower foliate finial; stamped brass shade ring, leveler, ceiling mount with motor, and smoke bell, cross-motif shade crown. Fitted with a period "BEACON" burner, lacking a flame spreader. Having cut glass prisms. Late 19th/early 20th century. Shade: 6 3/4" H.
Excellent condition overall with one panel of foliate decoration being detached at the top; remainder in excellent condition with some articles having minor imperfections such as wear, and minor bending and denting; imperfections to the prisms including flaking.
