VICTORIAN / EDWARDIAN ANTIQUE SILVER AND OTHER JEWELRY, LOT OF SEVEN, comprising a French 0.800 silver lorgnette with a shaped handle having shell covering and gold-washed folding glasses/spectacles, a gold-filled necklace by H.F. Barrows Co. of North Attleboro, MA featuring a pendant set with three seed pearls, a tri-color gold-filled cuff bracelet having a round medallion top with a bird and two beads with butterflies, a gold-filled bar brooch/pin featuring bug to top set with a tigers eye cabochon housed in a possibly original presentation box from John W. Taliaferro Jeweler of Harrisonburg, VA, a large bar brooch set with a banded agate cabochon in a silver-toned frame, and two garnet brooches. Some pieces marked, lorgnette with French boar's head hallmark for 0.800 silver fineness and an unidentified maker's mark. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. Necklace 18" L.
Provenance: From the John H. and Joan S. Byrd estate collection, Harrisonburg, VA.

Condition

Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including bending, nicks, dents, and/or worn spots to gold finishes; garnet brooches with one or a few stones, larger example with a couple of small losses to metal and possible repair.
