VICTORIAN ENAMEL-DECORATED KEROSENE HANGING / LIBRARY LAMP, opal shade with shaded pink ground and floral decoration, matching opal glass font vase with stamped brass scrolling support arms, lower foliate medallion finial, matching stamped brass shade ring, leveler, ceiling mount with motor, and smoke bell, plain brass shade crown. Fitted with a period brass drop-in font with a period burner, lacking flame spreader. Having cut glass prisms. Late 19th/early 20th century. Shade: 6 1/2" H, 14" D fitter.
Excellent condition overall with the font having denting to the base and a couple of vertical splits; remainder in excellent to undamaged condition with some metal areas perhaps having some light bending and/or denting; prisms having imperfections such as flaking and chipping. Shade having an area of roughness to the top rim, as made.
