VICTORIAN STENCIL-DECORATED KEROSENE HANGING / LIBRARY LAMP, opal with polychrome-enamel decoration depicting a cabin down a dirt road, matching opal glass font vase, stamped brass scrolling arms with lower medallion finial matching stamped brass shade ring, leveler, and ceiling mount with motor, floral brass shade crown, scalloped edge smoke bell. Fitted with a period brass drop-in font with a period burner and flame spreader marked for "B&H". Late 19th/early 20th century. Shade: 6 1/2" H, 13 7/8" D fitter.
Virtually undamaged with the font tank having some minor denting to the base edge and corrosion at the joint of the shoulder; some light wear to other articles.
