VIRGINIA MERCHANT'S STENCILED STONEWARE JARS, LOT OF THREE, salt-glazed, each of cylindrical form with slight shoulder, flat-top rounded rim, Albany-slip glazed interior, comprising two approximately one-gallon capacity examples and one approximately half-gallon capacity. Each cobalt stenciled "E. B. TAYLOR / Richmond, Va." Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 8" to 9 1/2" HOA.
One-gallon examples mostly undamaged, except one having a few flakes to rim interior; half-gallon example having two chips to rim with associated hairline crack including one moderate to rim interior, a hairline extending from base to medial body at stencil.
