VIRGINIA OR MARYLAND CHIPPENDALE PAINTED YELLOW PINE CORNER CUPBOARD, one-piece construction, canted returns, upper case having applied molded cornice over unusual matchstick-style frieze above a single 12-light door flanked by applied picture frame-type molding, waist molding below, lower case with two fielded-panel doors concealing single fixed shelf, the whole raised on an applied cut-out bracket-foot base. Retaining original robin's egg blue surface. Reserve. Late 18th/early 19th century. 86" H, 44" W, 28" corner.
