WAX OVER PAPIER MACHE YOUNG LADY DOLL, unmarked, shoulder plate head, fixed glass black eyes lacking pupils, hand-painted facial features including eyebrows, and a pink closed mouth, cloth stuffed body, jointed at shoulders, hips and knees, light brown mohair wig with braided bun. Period clothing including a blue and white cotton dress with polka-dot pattern and lace trim, period undergarments, black satin shoes with silver-toned buckles, black velvet bracelets on each arm and a blue belt. Second half 19th century. 25 1/2" H.
Good overall condition with expected wear, expected light hairlines to shoulder plate and face, face with some restoration primarily to the nose area. Clothing with deterioration, losses, and soiling.
