WEST VIRGINIA STENCILED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, designated two-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with flat-top rounded rim, beaded neck ring, Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "PALATINE / POTTERY / CO / 2", additional rearing horse decorative ornament. Circa 1875. 11 3/8" H, 6 7/8" D rim.

Excellent undamaged condition.
