WEST VIRGINIA STENCILED STONEWARE JUG, salt-glazed, designated two-gallon capacity, semi-ovoid form with plain ringed mouth, applied strap handle. Stenciled cobalt curved "RICHEY & / 2 / HAMILTON. / PALATINE. W.VA.", additional decorative ornaments including dots and foliate designs. Circa 1875. 13 3/4" HOA.

Mostly undamaged having minor flake to mouth.
