WEST VIRGINIA MERCHANT'S STENCILED STONEWARE CANNER, salt-glazed, approximately half-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with grooved wax-seal rim, a beaded neck, slight shoulder, Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "FRAZER & BISHOP / DEALERS / IN / GENERAL / MERCHANDISE / MARTINSBURG / WVA"., additional tri-leaf ornaments. Fourth quarter 19th century. 8 3/8" H, 5" D rim.
