WEST VIRGINIA STENCILED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, designated ten-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with slight shoulder, flat-top rounded rim, beaded neck ring, incised shoulder ring, applied arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "A. P. DONAGHHO / Parkersburg, W.V.", additional decorative bands above and below with ornaments flanking capacity mark. Circa 1875. 19" H, 11 1/2" D rim.
