WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, slightly ovoid form with medial incised ring, collared neck, and flat-top rounded rim, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt medial horizontal tulip between two lower and two upper stripes. Circa 1875. 9 5/8" H, 5 3/4" D rim.
Provenance: From an Albemarle Co., VA collection.
Undamaged except for a minute flake to inner rim, some very light medial wear.
