WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA STENCILED STONEWARE JARS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each cylindrical form with slight shoulder, flat-top rounded rim, beaded neck ring, Albany-slip glazed interior, comprising one approximately one-gallon capacity example and one approximately half-gallon capacity. Each having stenciled cobalt "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO / PA.", one having additional brushed cobalt stripe below rim and above base. 1860-1880. 8 1/4" H, 4 1/2" D rim and 10" H, 6 1/4" D rim.
