AMERICAN FOLK ART CUT-WORK / SCHERENSCHNITTE VALENTINE, ink on paper, with central circle with hearts and date "4th July, 1846", outside with eight verses with hex sign designs, one verse reads "On the Fourteenth day / of February". Housed under glass in a modern frame. Possibly North Carolina. 1846. 10 1/2" x 11" (object), 20" SQ (overall).
Condition
Good overall visual condition, scattered minor to moderate losses with moderate losses to the center, and with scattered minor to moderate toning and discoloration. Not examined outside of frame.
