Catalogue Note: Though the identity of Denina H. Catlin is not confirmed, there was a Denina (Deninah/Danina/Demima), who was born probably in Tioga, New York around 1813 to parents Stephen B. Catlin (1781-1857) and either Chloe Higgins or Elizabeth Decker (1792-1872). She married John Heacock (1808-1857), and they had at least five children. Denina died some time after 1860 and her burial location is currently unknown.
