ANTIQUE BIRDSEYE MAPLE BANJO, four string, birdseye maple rim and neck with rosewood rim cap, heel cap, and inlay, ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl fret markers, veneer-front headstock with mother-of-pearl inlaid decoration, ivoroid tuning pegs. Possible partial mark on side edge of dowel, otherwise unmarked. First quarter 20th century. 30" LOA, 11 1/4" WOA.


Good overall condition with some wear and surface scratches, head with discoloration, several cracks to fretboard with a small loss on the edge between the seventh and eighth fret, rosewood with a few cracks, rim with minor surface hairlines to exterior side, one bracket bent, tuning pegs with some hairlines along side mold lines, possibly refinished.
