ASSORTED AMERICAN COVERLETS, LOT OF THREE, comprising a Pennsylvania jacquard coverlet possibly attributed to Henry Gabriel of Allentown, PA, dark blue, red, and green wool, and light blue and natural cotton, whole panel, having medallion center surrounded by floral motifs, three sides with border featuring column motifs, fringe to three sides; a double weave coverlet, dark blue and natural cotton, two panels currently separated, center with foliate designs including medallions, all four sides with scrolling leaf border, three sides with fringe; and an overshot coverlet, red wool and natural cotton, two joined panels, having overall geometric pattern, three sides with border and fringe, top edge with wide fabric covering. 19th century. Pennsylvania jacquard coverlet 81" x 83" with fringe.
Provenance: Property from a Youngstown, OH estate.

Condition

Pennsylvania jacquard coverlet in very good visual condition with scattered losses to wool mostly small in size, some light toning and stains; double weave coverlet in very good visual condition with some scattered losses to wool, a few scattered stains and light toning, top edge with wear and holes; overshot coverlet in mostly good overall condition with some toning notably along top edge, some losses to fringe, fabric covering top edge in unknown condition.
