EDWARD HOPKINS, TROY, NEW YORK, ROSEWOOD FLUTE, three sections of a headjoint, body, and foot made of rosewood with original nickel silver ferrules, having open finger holes and probably original nickel silver keys, presented in period, possibly original, case. Each section with "HOPKINS / TROY" mark for Edward Hopkins, Jr. of Troy, NY (active c. 1839-1866). Mid 19th century. 26 3/8" LOA.

Good visual condition with expected usage wear and some surface scratches, headjoint with a crack from end to end and a hairline at barrel, possibly other hairlines/cracks, spots of oxidation on metal components, case with wear and other imperfections.
