FOIL BACK REVERSE-PAINTED GLASS OPTOMETRIST TRADE SIGN, decorated via star-patterned silver foil applied behind hollow lettering, surrounded in black paint under glass, reading "EYE GLASSES REPAIRED" with pictorial pince-nez style spectacles/glasses frames above, cardboard backing, housed in probably original sheet iron/tin frame. Circa 1920. 12 1/8" x 9" OA.
Excellent visual condition with slight losses to paint or areas of paint pulling away from glass pane, mostly around edges; frame with corrosion and rust mainly at obverse.
