GEORGIAN / WILLIAM IV ENGLISH STERLING SILVER VINAIGRETTES, LOT OF TWO, each rectangular form having engraved decoration to exterior with initials and a gilt interior with a hinged reticulated grill, comprising a larger example by Nathaniel Mills having an 1832 date mark, and a smaller example featuring a hanging loop with "TS" maker's mark for either Thomas Smith, Thomas Shaw, or Thomas Simpson, Jr. and a date mark for 1833 with top having engraved "1834" date. Each marked to interior with a maker's mark and four hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, an anchor city mark for Birmingham, a date mark, and a King George or William duty mark. Total weight: 1.340 ozt. Circa 1832 and 1833. Larger 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" x 3/8" OA.

Good to very good overall condition with some wear and surface scratches, other imperfections including nicks, minor denting, worn spots to engraving, and possible re-gilding to interiors.
