NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK COIN SILVER CREAMER AND COVERED SUGAR SET, each having a faceted urn-form well with flared shoulder, one or two scrolled handle/s, raised on a round pedestal-type base, accented by die-rolled foliate borders, sugar topped by a cover with flower figural finial. Each marked "W.ADAMS" and "NEW-YORK" to base for William Adams of New York City, NY (active 1829-1861). Total weight: 38.33 ozt. Second quarter/mid 19th century. Sugar 8 3/4" HOA.
Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.

Condition

Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including scattered dents, nicks, and minor worn spots to raised decoration; sugar cover with slight bending to interior flange.
