Catalogue Note: Born in Newport, South Wales, Phil Rogers was largely a self-taught potter looking to Bernard Leach’s A Potter’s Book for some guidance on the art. He wrote numerous works on pottery techniques including topics such as ash and salt glazes and was a sought-after lecturer especially in the United States and South Korea. Rogers worked at Lower Cefnfaes Farm's Marston Pottery from 1984 until his death in 2020.
