PIEDMONT NORTH CAROLINA PAINTED YELLOW PINE BLANKET, rectangular one-board top fitted with applied edge molding over a dovetailed case, interior with open till, raised on a bold, oversized cut-out bracket-foot base. Retains early, possibly original, blue-painted surface. Probably Anson Co., North Carolina. Circa 1830. 27 1/4" H, 47" W, 18 1/4" D.

Condition
Very good overall condition with areas of minor expected wear. Hinges moved and replaced with associated repairs to backboard. Wear and very minor losses to lid molding.
