RICHMOND, VIRGINIA COIN SILVER SPOONS AND FORK, LOT OF EIGHT, each piece with personalized engraving, comprising a salt spoon with backwards-tipped fiddle handle by William Mitchell, Jr. (active 1818-1845), and seven pieces by Mitchell & Tyler, the partnership of Samuel Phillips Mitchell and John Henry Tyler, Sr. (active 1845-1866), consisting of a fork with patterned handle, and a set of three tablespoons and three teaspoon having forward-tipped fiddle handles and matching "G" engraved initials. Each with maker's mark. Total weight: 8.750 ozt. Together with a set of four sterling silver teaspoons having forward-tipped fiddle handles by George W. Shiebler & Co. of New York City, NY (active 1876-1907) and retailed by John H. Tyler & Co. of Richmond, VA (active 1866-1887), total weight of 2.425 ozt. 12 pieces total. 19th century. 3 5/8" to 8 1/4" LOA.
