RICHMOND, VIRGINIA COIN SILVER TEASPOONS, SET OF NINE, each having a pointed oval bowl on a backwards-tipped fiddle handle with pointed shoulders and engraved "MG" initials reportedly for the Gatewood family. Each marked "W. MITCHELL JR." to the back for William Mitchell Jr. of Richmond, VA (active 1818-1845). Total weight: 6.175 ozt. First half 19th century. 5 3/4" L.

Condition

Very good overall condition with some wear and surface scratches, other minor imperfections including slight bending, nicks, possibly one or a few minute dents, and/or worn spots to bowl tips and engraving.
