SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA PORTRAIT OF A LADY, oil on canvas, a striking composition, likely by the same hand as the preceding lot, featuring a dignified elderly figure seated in an interior with Shenandoah River landscape in the background, subject identified as Rebecca Branson (1791-1853), no signature located. Housed in a 19th-century molded giltwood frame. Circa 1845. 34 1/4" x 28 1/4" sight, 41 1/4" x 35 1/4" OA.
