SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA WALNUT TALL-CASE CLOCK, eight-day brass works with painted iron face featuring moon phase, case with broken scroll pediment, and cockbeaded door. Pendulum, case key, winding key, and two weights present. Poplar secondary wood. Retains an early, likely original surface with warm color. Reserve. Circa 1800. 97" H, 19 3/4" W, 10 3/4" D.

Condition

Very good overall condition, later rosettes, feet with old repairs, old repair to one scroll, and with areas of expected minor wear. Brass works cleaned by James Horner, Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Unknown working condition (See Catalogue Guarantee).
