STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC JUG / PITCHER, each side depicting a waterside monument with canons and flags dedicated to naval heroes of the War of 1812, having "WASHINGTON / INDEPENDENCE" printed to base, and two figures to the right, having floral border decoration. Circa 1825. 8 5/8" HOA.

Catalogue Note: According to Mr. Routson, it is harder to find this pattern in large jug sizes such as this one.

Condition

(Updated 11/14/2022) Having some professional restoration including area adjacent to spout, a minor chip to top of handle with associated minor hairline, and a flake to foot. Manufacturing flaws including firing separation to base underside, as made.
