STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL / VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, each having dark blue transfer scenes, comprising a teapot featuring the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (so-called) depicting a steam carriage and coach with three figures in foreground, an 8 3/4" D bowl with a sugar bowl, lacking cover, depicting Lafayette at Washington's Tomb, and a cup featuring Lafayette at Franklin's Tomb. Printed marks to underside include bowl having "TAMS ANDERSON & TAMS / WARRANTED / STAFFORDSHIRE" and various numerals. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem; Thomas Mayer, Stoke-on-Trent/Longport, England; and others. Bowl imported by Tams, Anderson & Tams, Philadelphia, PA. Circa 1825. 8 1/8" HOA.
