STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring "CASTLE GARDEN BATTERY / NEW YORK", as printed to underside, depicting a harbor with two fort-like structures and multiple figures enjoying an adjacent promenade. Additional marks to underside include printed American eagle and shield with banner having "E PLURIBUS UNUM", an impressed eagle and shield with "E WOOD & SONS BURSLEM WARRANTED / SEMI CHINA", and "18".
