STAMPED "H PURDY", MOGADORE, OHIO STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "4" gallon capacity mark, semi-ovoid form with plain rim, applied arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt to stamp, additional cobalt at handle terminal. Henry Purdy, Mogadore, OH. Mid 19th century. 13" H, 10 1/4" D rim.
Condition
Rim having some scattered shallow chips and a hairline.
