WEST VIRGINIA STENCILED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, designated two-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with slight shoulder, flat-top rounded rim, incised and beaded neck ring, Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "A. CONRAD. / SHINNSTON. / W. VA.", additional scrolled decorative ornaments to middle with "2" above name. Circa 1875. 12" H, 7 1/4" D rim.
